One aspect of myself that I wanted to portray in this self portrait project was of someone who's always thinking, creating, dreaming. This is not the true me, but someone I would like to be. When I saw the sun starting to set (by the way the light started to reflect off of the faces of the buildings of Newark through my studio window) I rushed out to the campus center of my school knowing I only had maybe ten minutes for my idea to work. Luckily I got to the roof in time as the sun came in and out of the clouds and I was able to capture this.

I love finding the binary contradictions in your photographs. There is a steadiness to the buildings and your form as if everything is posing for eternity, yet at the same time the sky is so brilliant and there is such a great sense of motion that rubs off on you. You become the link between the two. Awesome.
