Once again I tried to capture a feeling of a dream and what creativity and the imagination could create. I came across this room almost accidentally. Originally, this was to be a photograph at the top of a stairwell. But the one that I wanted was occupied, so I went up another stairwell, and that's how this photograph began to take shape. My friend and I began to play with silhouettes. He pushed his way up to the top of this empty doorway for one photograph that he wanted me to take of him and then an idea clicked in my head. I set my camera in a coffee filter bag (the only form of a tripod I had), ran to the doorway, and the result is what you see above.

The dynamic between the two is interesting and it shapes the rest of the photograph in parallels and opposites: the miscellaneous items strewn about has the atmosphere of both construction and neglect, the lack of perfect symmetry between the two people literally reinforces the idea of gravity and effort, and the light coming from behind them sets the contrast perfectly.
this comment reminds me of a cd cover for a rock band that i would really like. the spaces between the people are funky. its a fresh picture.
I love the lighting in this shot....the dark lighting going into the bright light. Also love how far you placed the camera so that we could get a feel for the room and see the details of what seems to be an abandoned structure.
Makes me wonder where the hell you took this shot, what you had to go through to get it just right. Having someone else in your self portrait is something I think only you did in the whole class... it adds something to it...what?...I don't know. Great self portrait.
deffinetly a great picture. i love the lighting and the spaces in the photo, the way the people are set up, and spaces between them. this picture says something to everyone that sees it, it reminds me of growing up in the projects, and how where u are looks kinda run down, and just things all over, but the people in the photo seem to be happy with each other, it's great
Great photo. I love how the picture has a green glow to it. Very creative in concept and really interesting angles. I can't stop looking at it.
I also like the "dream" concept behind this photo. It makes me wish that we'd done a project with silhouettes/shadows in Photo I. Very creative idea!
lol great description! again i guess you were always just in the right place at the right time... where did you find this place? i think it fits with your other self portraits and all your other pictures perfectly!
This picture stands out to me the most from all your pictures. It looks like it could be an advertisement for something. The lighting and the position of the subjects are perfect.
